The Foggiest Idea has been named a finalist in the 2018 Press Club of Long Island Media Awards. The awards ceremony will be celebrated on Thursday, June 7th at 7:30 PM at the Woodbury Country Club. Additional information on the event can be found here.
Also being honored are Harvey Aronson, a former writer, editor, and writing coach at Newsday who today is a lecturer at Stony Brook University, Brian Donovan, a longtime investigative reporter at Newsday who has won numerous awards including two Pulitzer Prizes, and Carol Pack, who is being recognized for her work with the Society of Professional Journalists and PCLI as a former president of the organization.

The Foggiest Idea, which hosts the award-winning published works of urban planner and real estate expert Richard Murdocco, was founded in 2010 with the goal of making the impact of real estate development and land use policies accessible to the general public. Murdocco’s written work can be regularly found in publications such as Newsday, The Real Deal, Crain’s New York, and Long Island Pulse Magazine. Murdocco’s written work serves as the focal point of an ongoing speaking tour on development issues in communities across the NY metro region. Murdocco’s work with The Foggiest Idea was recognized by PCLI with multiple first-place awards during their 2017 event.
