The Foggiest Idea has been named a finalist for a 2017 Press Club of Long Island Media Award. The awards ceremony will be celebrated on June 7th at 7:30 PM at the Woodbury Country Club. Additional information on the event can be found here.
Also being honored that evening with induction into the Long Island Journalism Hall of Fame is legendary columnist Jimmy Breslin of Newsday, the New York Daily News and the Long Island Press. Breslin will be posthumously inducted alongside Helen Rattray, who is the longtime East Hampton Star publisher, as well as Carl Corry, a former PCLI president.
The Foggiest Idea, which hosts the published work of urban planner and real estate expert Richard Murdocco, was founded in 2010 with the goal of making the impact of real estate development and land use policies accessible to the general public. Murdocco’s written work can be regularly found in publications such as The Real Deal, Crain’s New York, Long Island Pulse Magazine, and Newsday.
